Throughout the years, there have been many performing arts events in Fort St. John. For example, choir and band performances, festivals, concerts, dance recitals, and more. Library and Literacy in Fort St. John (2017)

Attached are newspaper articles involving Fort St. John’s library and literacy society. The news articles are from 2017 and include events such as the library’s Fireplace Sessions. There is also an article on Dawson Creek’s Calvin Kruk Centre with mention of the groups who will be using the space such as the Kiwanis Community Band and the Mile Zero Quilting Guild.

Library and Literacy in Fort St. John (2008 – 2012)

Artspace News Articles (1984 -1987)

This catalogue contains newspaper clippings about the Artspace from 1984 to 1987. During those years, the Artspace was its own building and acted as a community centre with a meeting and recreation space offering art, music, and dance classes. The following articles include topics such as their Artvark program, the children’s classes offered and the growing need for a new space.

North Peace Art Gallery News Articles (1984 -1987)

Paintings, mixed media, and other visual art forms are an important part of the Fort St. John community and the nearby cities. This is evident through the many events hosted by the North Peace Art Society. The following files are a collection of newspaper clippings featuring art related news. This includes articles such as the North Peace Gallery’s artist of the month, workshops in partnership with the Northern Lights College, and Fort St. John’s annual art auctions, including the first auction held in 1984.
