High on Ice Winter Festival (2004)

Since its inception through to 2012, the City of Fort St. John contracted the High on Ice Winter Festival to the Fort St. John Community Arts Council. This catalogue from 2004 includes a thank you certificate from the City.

The Grand Opening of the ArtsPost Too (2007)

Friday, October 5 and Saturday October 6, 2007 was the grand opening of the Artspost Too. The Saturday had many activities for families to participate in from mural painting to kids activities and Raku pottery firing.

Arts in Fort St. John (1972-1975)

A collection of newspaper clippings from 1972 – 1975 related to various arts, culture and community events in Fort St. John including news related to the Potters Guild, Music Week, fund raising for a new arts centre, bands and choirs, Fort St. John Public Library, Arts and Crafts and more.

Workshop Players Rumpelstiltskin (1976)

In 1976 the play Rumpelstiltskin was put on by the Fort St. John Workshop Players. Attached are many news articles involving the show. This production was put on before Stage North Theatre Society was created in 1978.

North Peace Cultural Centre News Articles (1992)

Attached are newspaper clippings about events that happened at the North Peace Cultural Centre in 1992 including Canada Day and the Firefighter’s Talent Night at the Derrick. Also included is an article about a presentation made at the centre by Ken Georgetti with the BC Federation of Labour.

Included in this catalogue are letters between a community member and a director of the Peace River Regional District. Attached are newspaper clippings about a variety of events that took place between 2007-2009 . These include history columns by Larry Evans regarding events like the Charles Bedaux expedition. Articles also include news of dance performances, a partnership between Northern Lights College and Doig River and Blueberry First Nations, the opening of the new city hall in Fort St. John, an Arts in Action Newsletter, the Fort St. John Literacy Society, Peace Gallery North, the Fort St. John Public Library, school events, a poetry slam at the Dawson Creek Art Gallery featuring poets Patrick Lane and Lorna Crozier, organized by Donna Kane with Writing on the Ridge, the Fort St. John Chocolate Festival, and more.
