BC Festival of the Arts Images and Objects and Regional Juried Art Exhibit (1990-1994)

The annual Regional Juried Art Exhibit (RJAE) is organized by the Peace-Liard Regional Arts Council and provides regional artists the opportunity to take part in a juried exhibit. During the years of the BC Festival of the Arts, artists from the RJAE were selected to go on to a provincial exhibit, Images and Objects. This file includes newspaper articles regarding these events from 1990-1994.

Peace and Plenty Radio Program (1961)

Peace and Plenty was part of a radio show in 1961 that focused mainly around Fort St. John including news of George Bouffioux on his farm at Mile 54.

Images and Objects and Regional Juried Art Exhibit Newspaper Articles (1982-1989)

The annual Regional Juried Art Exhibit is organized by the Peace-Liard Regional Arts Council and provided the region’s artists with an opportunity to take part in a juried exhibit. During the years 1982-1989, regional artists could also be selected to participate in Images and Objects, a provincial show that was part of the BC Festival of the Arts. The Peace River North Festival of the Arts brought the whole community together. This catalogue includes many news paper articles that explain the details of the competition and what it consists of. Categories included music, theatre, and creative writing.
