The following are news articles and current events involving the Fort St. John Hospital from 1987 and 1988. The General Hospital Board of Trustees decided that the hospital would restrict smoking in 1987. The Fort St. John Legion donated a $2500 cheque to the hospital. Head nurse, Janice Blaskovits, was presented a blood monitor by President of the Canadian Diabetes Association. 1988 was the Fort St. John Hospital’s 25th anniversary.
The following are news articles and current events involving the Fort St. John Hospital from 1985 and 1986. 1985 was filled with fundraisers and conferences. The Telephone Pioneers of America donated an isolette to the maternity ward of the hospital. 85 delegates attended the 28th Annual Conference of the British Columbia Association of Hospital Auxiliaries held in Fort St. John. There were 37 active Candy Stripers in Fort St. John in 1985. In 1986 the Hospital Women’s Auxiliary accepted a cheque from the Provincial Government Employees Community Service Fund. The Rodeo Parade also took place summer of 1985.

The following are news articles and current events involving the hospital from 1990. In 1990 the Candy Stripers had their 23rd annual capping and awards ceremony. Girls between the age of 14 and 18 are Junior Volunteers in the hospital and were given their caps.

1946: The Fort St. John Hospital WA was successful in its effort to raise funds for new hospital equipment. They raised an amount of $481.00 at a concession stand at the Peace Bridge Stampede in Taylor. 1947: Babies were filling the hospital. The 15th set of twins since 1932 was delivered the week of March 21st.
